Ein:
To unlock Ein in other modes, play through Story mode as Hitomi and defeat him at the end. After the intermission sequence you will be notified that Ein is unlocked. This applies to all modes but Story mode, as hidden characters do not have a story.
User Cheat by almiteff

Gen Fu:
Play through the game as Eliot and finish his Story mode. After the intermission sequence you will be notified Gen Fu is now playable in all modes except Story mode. No hidden characters can be used in Story mode.

Helena:
Complete Story mode with all sixteen characters to unlock her in all modes.

Leon:
After finishing Story mode as Zack you will unlock him in all modes except for Story mode.

Spartan-458:
After finishing Story mode as Helena you will unlock Spartan-458 from Halo in all modes except for Story mode.

Tengu:
Complete Time Attack mode with all characters, including the bonus characters.

Halo stage:
After finishing Story mode as Helena you will unlock a stage similar to the first stage of Halo 2, the Hangar Area.

Increased bounciness:
As in the previous Dead Or Alive games, you may enter your age as "99" by going into your profile from the main menu. This will result in the female characters' breasts to bounce more than usual.

Biolab Core stage:
Finish Story mode.

Tatami stage:
Unlock all costumes and system voices and complete story mode for all seventeen characters to access the Tatami stage, which has a floor mat with no walls.

Movie Theater mode:
Finish Story mode. More movie can be unlocked by completing Story mode with a different character.

Alternate costumes:
After finishing Story mode you will unlock an alternate costume with the following characters. If available, the next alternate costume for that character will be unlocked when Story mode is completed again with them.

After finishing Time Attack mode under the default settings you will unlock an alternate costume with the following characters. If available, the next alternate costume for that character will be unlocked when Time Attack mode is completed again with them.

Change system announcer's voice:
In the options menu, notice that you can choose different voices for the system announcer. To unlock additional voices, enter sparring mode and bring up the sparring menu. Select "Exercise" and you will be prompted to run through an extensive moves list. Once you complete it, that character's voice will be available as a system announcer.

Get easy costumes:
Costumes for the most part are easily unlocked by two methods. One involves completing story mode with a character to get their next costume, while the other involves purchasing them at the Zack Shop under DOA 4 Live. REMEMBER: If this is your first time playing the game you should initially have 10,000 Zack points already, which is enough to purchase two costumes for whomever desired.

Xbox Live gamer points:
After finishing the following achievements you will unlock the indicated number of Xbox Live Gamerscore points (1,000 total possible points).

Achieve a Bronze Star (10 points): Defeat someone with a 10-14 win streak in Dead Or Alive 4 Online.
Achieve a Gold Star (30 points): Defeat someone with a 20+ win streak in Dead Or Alive 4 Online.
Achieve a Silver Star (20 points): Defeat someone with a 15-19 win streak in Dead Or Alive 4 Online.
Unlock Ein (10 points): By finishing Story mode as Hitomi.
Unlock Gen Fu (10 points): By finishing Story mode as Eliot.
Unlock Helena (20 points): By finishing Story mode as all characters.
Unlock Leon (10 points): By finishing Story mode as Zack.
Unlock Spartan-458 (20 points): By finishing Story mode as Helena.
Unlock Tengu (20 points): By finishing Time Attack mode with all default and hidden characters.

The following are secret achievements, but will earn no Gamerscore points.

Lose 5 consecutive online matches.
Lose 10 consecutive online matches.
Lost 20 consecutive online matches.
Get a "D" rank in Dead Or Alive 4 Online.
Get an "E" rank in Dead Or Alive 4 Online.
Get an "F" rank in Dead Or Alive 4 Online.

Time Attack mode trophies:
Complete single mode with the indicated time limit to unlock the corresponding trophy.

Bronze: 5:00 to 6:00
Silver: 4:30 to 5:00
Gold: Less than 4:30

Complete tag mode with the indicated time limit to unlock the corresponding trophy.

Bronze: 4:00 to 4:30
Silver: 3:30 to 4:00
Gold: Less than 3:30

Trophies for Time Attack
Pick time attack either Single or Tag. Note, these can be done with just one round for the win (making it excessively easy).
