Extra Players:
By beating teams in Legends mode you will unlock their counterparts in
Exhibition mode and the free agent pool. The team will only be unlocked for
that particular profile.
Legends Teams:
Upon beating teams in Legends mode you will unlock their counterparts in
Exhibition mode. The team will only be unlocked for that particular profile.
Easy Wins in the Legends Tournament:
The easiest way to win games in Legends mode is to pick a team with a
great shot-blocking center and an all-star guard or small forward. For
Instance, the Los Angeles Lakers have Shaquille O'neal and Kobe Bryant (also
Gary Payton and Karl Malone). Always use Shaquille O'neal on defense to block
shots and always use Kobe Bryant or Gary Payton to handle the ball when
controlling the ball on offense.
Good Defense:
Switch to a good defensive player when your opponents have the ball. Even
if that player is not on the screen you can still easily switch to that
player. Simply look at the name under the JAM BAR as it will state the name of
the player you are controlling. Continue to switch players until you pick up
the best defensive player on your team (Shaq, Ben Wallace, etc). When you have
switched to that defensive player simply hang around the basket (no 3-second
rule) and block shots. You won't block every shot but many of them.
When a bad ball-handler in real life has possession
of the ball, throw him down by pushing X + Turbo. It will be much
easier to knock down a Yao Ming or a Shawn Bradley rather than a Kobe Bryant
or a Ray Allen. Also use a big player (Shaq, Ben Wallace, etc) to knock down
these players as it will be more effective.
Increase your Jam Bar:
The easiest way to increase your Jam Bar is to perform alley-alley-oops
(double alley oops) and triple-alley-oops. You can perform these oops by
performing an alley oop (push Y, wait for the player to jump towards
the hoop, push A) then pushing Y again and pushing A
again when the next player jumps toward the hoop.
Perform ten dunks with any player and it will
increase your Jam Bar significantly on the tenth dunk. Every multiple of ten
dunks beyond that will increase the Jam Bar even more.
