Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders Tips & Tricks

This battle may take a few tries. Start off by sending your cavalry straight for the spy unit, and then your spy to find the hogs. Do so, and then build your little traps. After beating them and beating the other two that come from the south send your sappers down and build the traps again. At this time you should have at least three quarters of a bar left. It is hard to catch the sappers so keep your in the ambush area, but not yet. Build extra traps with your remaining max SP around the other ones. Make sure they are close to one another because they can walk right through them. Now wait in ambush. If anyone cuts through the woods to avoid traps slaughter them with cavalry and infantry.

For the world with the archers on the riverbank and many others this is a good hard strategy. If possible use your archers and your cavalry. You will also need a recommended knight unit for gerald or something powerful on foot. For the foot units in that world you should use the archers at max range to fire a direct volley on each unit; then when they come running for you you should bring in the cavalry to charge through them. Since they keep running after they get hit bring up your infantry before the archers and after the cavalry. This makes for an easy victory over any unit in that world and others.

In the ambush mission in Gerald Mode, set your traps for the first wave of orcs in a criss-cross pattern across the entrance field with your sappers. You should have enough time to set about 12 traps, but place them against the cliffs out to the middle of the field to maximize the damage. If placed from the end of the cliff back half way down the cliff, you shouldn\'t have to fight and your EXP points will go through the roof.

Spearmen are for use against cavalry. They have nothing else. But fortunately, they are good at what they do. 

The trick with cavalry is that if they stop, they die. They can't engage in Melee. They are effective only when charging through the enemy. You can learn all of this is the training mode, which is pretty useful. I suggest you go do it at least once.

Ice attacks fair well against unarmored enemies (orcs, humans) and will freeze them into immobility.

Lightning attacks perform well against metal clad enemies and spearmen or axemen.

Poison attacks fair well against Elves (or Vells) and perform stack damage.

Curse attacks will reduce the defense and offence of the enemy to near zero, but won't perform any damage.

Fire attacks are the best generic attacks, since burning enemies cannot attack, and the fire damage can be stacked.
