Avoid falling damage
Push R1 as before you hit the ground to enter combat mode. You will not get any damage from falling.
Pistol whip
Push X button to pistol whip your adversary. You can use this trick for every gun.
Drink from canteen
You can drink from the canteen, press and hold A. If you instead tap A, it will take longer. When holding A also helps when you fill your canteen.
Levers
Most puzzles in the game require you to pull levers in the game to open locked doors/gates. Most levers will be located in the same room. There is no penalty for pulling the wrong lever since wrong levers don't exist.
Packing heat
In the beginning of the game you start off with a revolver, but you can pick up a luger, machinegun, tommy-gun, grenades, and a rocket launcher. But remember if one of your opponents knocks the weapon out of your hand, your foe will pick it up and use it against you.
Enemies
Some of your enemies will be stupid as hell, others will be rather intelligent. If you find enemies which hide behind pillars and wait to attack, don't throw grenades at them. These enemies will pick up the grenades and throw them back at you.
