Unlock Kuma:
Finish arcade mode once. When selected, he will be a giant panda. To Unlock Kuma the brown bear, press Triangle when selecting him. They both have the same moves.

Unlock Juila:
Finish arcade mode with two characters.

Unlock Gun Jack:
Finish arcade mode with three characters.

Unlock Mokujin:
Finish arcade mode with four characters.

Unlock Anna:
Finish arcade mode with five characters.

Unlock Bryan:
Finish arcade mode with six characters.

Unlock Heihachi:
Finish arcade mode with seven characters.

Unlock Ogre:
Finish arcade mode with eight characters.

Unlock True Ogre:
Finish arcade mode with nine characters.

Unlock Panda:
Highlight Kuma at the character selection screen and press Circle.

Unlock Tiger:
Highlight Eddy Gordo at the character selection screen and press Triangle. You can also finish the game with eighteen characters.

Unlock Mukojin's Wife:
Highlight Mukojin at the character selection screen and press X or Circle.

Unlock Doctor Boskonovitch:

Complete Tekken Force Mode four times and defeat him at the final stage. He will be playable in all modes including arcade mode.

Alternately, battle on two player versus mode between 50 and 120 times, if you already have unlocked all characters besides Dr. Boskonovitch.

Unlock Gon:
Play in survival mode and get at least third place in the ranking list. Enter GON as a name to unlock him.

Alternate character and mode release:
There is a another way of releasing extra characters and game modes. As you accumulate battles in versus mode new features and characters will be unlocked.

100 Battles : Kuma unlocked
150 Battles : Julia unlocked
200 Battles : Gun Jack unlocked
250 Battles : Mokujin unlocked
300 Battles : Anna unlocked
350 Battles : Bryan unlocked
400 Battles : Heihachi unlocked
450 Battles : Ogre unlocked
500 Battles : True Ogre unlocked
550 Battles : Tekken Ball Mode unlocked
600 Battles : Tiger unlocked
650 Battles : Gon unlocked
700 Battles : Dr. Bosconovitch unlocked
750 Battles : All characters and costumes unlocked

Fight against Panda as a Boss:
Select Tekken Force Mode and highlight Kuma and press Triangle at the character selection screen. The Boss of the backstreets will be Panda, since you are playing as Kuma.

Tekken Ball mode:
View all endings of the ten base characters to enable the "Ball Mode" option -- complete the game ten times.

Hidden characters in Tekken Ball:
If you have unlocked Tekken Ball Mode without unlocking any hidden characters at all (e.g. using a GameShark code), then, including defeating Gon and unlocking him, any other characters you fight in Tekken Ball who you have not previously obtained can be accessed if you defeat them.

Theatre mode:
Unlock each character, including Panda, Tiger, Doctor Boskonovitch, and Gon, and view their endings. The "Disc" and "Sound" options under "Theatre Mode" will now be available.

Visiting stages:

Amusement Park: Get Xiaoyu as challenger in training/her style clothes.
Punk Alley: Get Paul/Bryan as challenger.
Mexican Temple: Get Julia/Heihachi as challenger.
Labrotory Courtyard: Get Nina/Anna/Gun Jack as challenger.
Grassy lands: Get Eddy/Tiger as challenger.
Martial Arts Dojo: Get Forest/Kuma/Panda as challenger .
Taekwondo Dojo - get Hwoarang as challenger.
Skyring: Get King as challenger.
Island Beach: Get Gon as challenger.
Junky Mansion - get Doctor Bostonovitch as challenger.
Forest: Get Yoshimitsu as challenger.
Tiger Dojo: Get Jin as challenger in training/his style clothes.
Chinese Street: Get Lei as challenger.

High School stage:
Unlock Jin or Xiaoyu's extra costume, then get them as challenger in that costume.

Record or replay combo:
Enter practice mode and choose the "Freestyle" selection. Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Circle at the freestyle options screen. Then press Down + Select to record or replay a combo.

Alternate ending pose:
Perform the following after defeating your opponent on any round. Hold X or Circle throughout the instant replay. Your fighter will perform a special pose.

Alternate introduction sequence:
Complete the game with the ten base characters to view an alternate introduction featuring the characters in their two-player mode costumes. For another alternate introduction, complete the game with all characters including the secret characters.

Alternate background:
Finish arcade mode with all twenty-one characters, including Gon and Dr. Boskonovitch (you also may need to complete it with Tiger). The background in practice mode changes so that Tekken 3 and King of Iron Fist Tournament 3 scrolls across behind the player selection boxes, which are now in the style of the versus board.

Alternate costumes:
Select arcade mode, highlight a fighter on the character selection screen, and hold R1 + R2 + L1 + L2 until the timer reaches zero. Release the buttons when both fighters are displayed.

Basic costumes:
Go to a character's screen and press X or Circle for the "outfit of their choosing". Press Square or Triangle for their "best training outfit". If the character has a third outfit and you enable it, you can select that instead of "best training outfit" if you press Triangle.

Red and green colors:
Go to practice mode, then select one player free-style mode. Turn everything on, go to mode select, then go to "Combo Training" and press Start. Your characters should be green, and when you attack you will become red. REMEMBER: You can go back to one player free-style if desired, and the colors will still be there.

Random select in team battle mode:
Select team battle mode, choose the number of characters for your team, then press Start.

Quick exit:
During a fight or when selecting one of the modes, press Start + Select.

Start taunts:
Hold Triangle or Square before a round for a taunt and X or Square for another taunt.

Soundtrack:
Play track two of the game disc in an audio CD player to hear music from the game.
