Unlock Bosses:
In the character selection prompt, push L1 + L2 + R1 + R2.

Bonus fighters:
Finish the game, then push L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 at the character selection screen. Kojiroh, Tanuki Akari, and Deku Shigen can now be chosen.
