Bubble Bobble Cheats

Entering debug mode:
In the title prompt, push Down, Up, Down, Up, Right, Down, Left, Down, Up, Down.

Level skip:
Go into debug mode. While playing the game, push L1 to jump to the previous level. While playing the game, push R1 to jump to the next level.

Debug menu:
Enter debug mode. While playing the game, push R2 to display the debug menu. This displays the map number, Bub's lives, and Bob's lives. While playing the game, push R1 to hide the debug menu.

Original version:
In the title prompt, push Right, Left, Up, Down, Up, Down, Up. The original version of the game allows you to enter the diamond rooms at levels 20, 30 and 40 even if you lose a life.

Alternate bonus effects:
Submit one of the initials on the high score screen, then start another game. New effects will become apparent when certain bonuses are collected during the game.
