How to save money:
During the offseason when you are resigning free agents, there's an easy way to save money for free agency without being cheap and changing stats. Instead of lowering and raising stats, just go to "View Roster" and convert all of your starters and closers into relievers. Resign all of them to small deals worth at most about $3 million a year. Once you sign them, change them back into their original position. This will also work with turning slow players into the 2B or SS position and resigning them, or turning small players into the C or 1B position and resigning them.

Anytime you let someone on base after the seventh inning (when you are winning) put your closer in and use him the rest of the way.
