First person view of your car:
Press and hold R1 while selecting a transmission type. Keep the R1 held until the game completes loading to see a man hanging from the roof of your car in the first person view.

Genki Gremlin decoration:
Press and hold R2 when choosing your shift assist option. Keep the buttons held until the game has competed loading. The Genki Gremlin can be seen hanging from the roof of your car in the first person view.

Blue mosquito decoration:
Press and hold L2 when choosing your shift assist option. Keep the buttons held until the game has competed loading. A blue mosquito with yellow sunglasses will be hanging from the roof of your car in the first person view.

Dog decoration:
Press and hold L1 when choosing your shift assist option. Keep the buttons held until the game has competed loading. A dog with horns will be hanging from the roof of your car in the first person view.

Display replay meters:
Push Select during a replay.

View one-on-one battle positions:
Press Square during a one-on-one battle to see the positions of all other cars.

View free run positions:
Press Square at the course selection screen in free run mode to see the other cars.

Control replay view:
Start a replay in the driver view position, then press L1 or R1 to pan the camera.

Fixed replay view:
Hold Triangle when the replay is about to start.

Sort car selections:
When you are selecting a car to buy, press Square to sort them by default, the car name, the price, power weight ratio, and torque weight ratio.

Faster acceleration:
When racing, hold Accelerate then hold Reverse. You will accelerate faster very briefly.

Full pause screen:
Pause your game, then press Triangle + Square. To restore the pause screen, press Triangle + Square again.

Delete scores:
Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Start at time record screen.

Skyline car:
After defeating the Speed King you will get $3 million and unlock the Skyline car for purchase.

White Carismo car:
By beating the last Zodiac (White Carismo) you will unlock his car and get about $4 million dollars.

To get $5 million dollars when you defeat White Carismo, let him win the first time he challenges you. Then go up, challenge him, and win. At the ending you will see a message appear that saying "Challenge Ending = 5 Million Dollars".

Datsun 240Z (Fairlady) car:
After defeating all racers (including all Wanderers) you will get a challenge from Racer #400. By beating him you will unlock the Datsun 240Z for purchase.

Siren:
Select a type 5 spoiler for the R30 or R30M, then use the horn.

Machine gun:
Select a type 5 spoiler for the R30 or R30M. A machine gun should appear somewhere on the car. During a battle, press Reverse + Brake to fire the gun.

Level 7 engine, level 8 muffler, and all 5 levels of body tune:
In order to unlock these items, you need 1,860 miles on your odometer. You can typically gain about 500 miles for seven hours of driving in auto pilot mode. To go to auto pilot mode, challenge a rival and when the race is over, allow the game to idle and the CPU will eventually take over. REMEMBER: This only works for the car with the miles.

New nickname:
Select any team sticker for your car and the team will get a new nickname.

For example, defeat one the of the "Another Star" gang. Afterwards, buy his car, fix it up, and put the "Another Star" sticker on your car. Your nickname should be changed to "Over The Top".

Gaining mileage:
If your mileage is low and you need to gain but do not want to drive in circles, challenge a rival. After the race is over it will stay in auto-pilot with the trip meter and odometer still ticking (eventually leading the way to the level 8 muffler and level 7 engine).
