Differences between PC and PS2 versions:
PS2 version has a 2-player mode.

You can't have a second floor in any part of this PS2 game unlike the PC version.

All expansion pack items (from PC versions) are not included just a variety of items from expansion packs and the original.

Attracting other Sims in 2-player:
You must remember that a character can fall out of love with your Sim just as quickly as he falls in love. Also, beware of jealous lovers as they can get ugly if you flirt in a crowded room where it's difficult to keep track of existing lovers. When you aren't working on a relationship, look around the room and take one of your opponent's sweeties. In Taylor's Place (2-player) after a love queen is crowned, all the guy races to the stereo and starts stripping to the music. The losing party will become depressed since she will be the only one with clothes on and suddenly has no boy toys (Jimmy Eat World Video without the happy ending).

Cheat mode:
In the main menu, push L1 + R1 + L2 + R2 to unlock the cheat menu. The codes below can now be submitted in the cheat prompt.
 

Midas mode:
Submit the code MIDAS in the cheat prompt. Start your game in Get A Life mode, get into the hot tub with the girl, then push Start to pause your game. Select QUIT, followed by JUST QUIT. This mode unlock all two-player games, all locked objects, and all locked skins.

Free mode:
Enter FREEALL at the cheat menu. All objects will now cost 0 Simoleans. REMEMBER: You will not be able to sell any items for money. This has no effect on the cost of paying for bills and other services. Also, this may cause some problems with saved games.

Party Motel mode:
Enter PARTY M at the cheat menu. The Party Motel two-player game will now be unlocked under the bonus section in Get A Life mode.

Play The Sims mode:
Enter SIMS at the cheat menu. Play The Sims mode will now be unlocked, without going through the Get A Life dream house. This is useful for players without memory cards, who would otherwise need to play through the Dream House each time.

First person view:
Enter FISH EYE at the cheat menu. Press Black to toggle between normal and first person view.

Broken items:
This trick can be one in Get A Life and Play The Sims modes. If something breaks down and your Sim is too depressed to study Mechanics, simply sell it and buy a new one. REMEMBER: If fixing the object is one of your goals, this will not work.

Never pay bills:
This trick only works in Play The Sims mode. If you do not want to pay your bills, evict your family from the house every two days then move them back in.

Easy Money:
To get a lot of money submit the FREEALL cheat on and MIDAS cheat too, then buy a empty lot, then fill it with monkey butlers,save then take off the FREEALL cheat, then sell all the monkey butlers. And you have a whole lot of MONEY!!!!

To get easy money enter the two cheats by pressing r1+r2+l1+l2 then type in midas. after exiting the cheat screen enter it again and type in freeall. Enter your game and buy expensive items (they won\'t cost you a dollar). Save the game and then restart the consol. this time dont enter the cheats and sell all your stuff. You should now have the money you start with plus extra money for selling your stuff. save the game and restart the ps2 once more. enter the two cheats again and buy your items again. ^_^

Easy money?  It\'s never been easier than having Freeall on and moving your family into an empty lot.  Once you do that, you buy tons of the most expensive stuff and move out.  Your assets will be liquidated, you\'ll have tons of money, and you can buy that crazy dream house you\'ve built buy can\'t get anyone rich enough to more into.

Get A Life Chapter 1   -   Borrow $800 from Mom:
In buy mode, sell anything which isn't a necessity, until you are over $800.

Head In Curio Jar   -   Get through the house in 8 days or less in Chapter 3.
Heart-shaped Vibrating Bed   -   Upgrade your house in Chapter 4.
Maid   -   Clean up the house in Chapter 2.
Maid's House in two player mode   -   Be promoted to job level 8 in Chapter 5.
Major Dormo (Monkey Butler)   -   Send both kids to Prep School in Chapter 6.
Master Suite Tub   -   Be promoted to job level 5 in Chapter 3.
Motel in two-player mode   -   Throw a raging party in Chapter 3.
Museum in two-player mode   -   Borrow 800 Simoleons from Mom in Chapter 1.
Park in two-player mode   -   Feed the Bobo the bum in Chapters 3, 4, 5, or 6.
Perspiraction Executive Treadmill   -   Get a job in Chapter 1.
Rhino Head   -   Get through the house in 8 days or less in Chapter 6.
Slurp 'n' Burp Beverage Cooler   -   Be promoted to job level 2 in Chapter 2.

Life Of Crime career path:
Prevent a thief from escaping in Get A Life mode to unlock the Life Of Crime career path in all modes.

Easy money:
Use the FREE MODE code, and go to your house and purchase many expensive items. Now save your game and restart your system. Upon restarting your system, don't submit the code again and sell your items back for more money. The best item to do this with is the Monkey Butler Tree, which is worth 15,000 Simoleans. You can do this with many items throughout the game.
 

Construct a wall parallel to the sidewalk (with the mail box). Then place the most expensive wallpaper on both sides of the wall. Now push Square to sell the wallpaper on one side. When you are selling the wallpaper remember to press and hold Square and release it to finish the sale. Following the sale if you push Square over and over again you can sell the wallpaper again and again. This trick is optimized when the wall has an intersection in the shape of the letter T.

Getting easy skills:
Upon evicting a family their moods go up immediately after you move into another house. Once you get in a house, study, work out, and on & on.
 

When your energy or any other stats get low, evict yourself from the house. Reenter the house and all your stats will return to defaults..
 

Keep child home from school:
If you do not want your child to go to school and do not want to keep hearing the bus honk every few seconds, just let your child stand in the middle of the road where the bus waits everyday. Then the bus will not appear, and your child will not go to school.
 

Keep Major Dormo longer:
Call Major Dormo, then put a fence around his tree house after he leaves it. He will remain with you much longer, but will still eventually disappear.

Change clothes faster:
When a Sim puts up the curtain to change, press L1 to pause game play. They will change, but time will freeze.
 

Alien abduction:
Buy the telescope and use it for too long. Your Sim will be abducted and disappear. It will reappear some hours later, with different stats.

Zombie Sim:
Kill a Sim and wait for the Grim Reaper to appear. Plead for his or her life. The Grim Reaper will either ignore your plea, turn your Sim into a Zombie, or revive your Sim. If your Sim was revived, kill him or her again, then try again. The outcome is random. Note   -   Do not save the game if the Grim Reaper kills your Sim. Reload the game and try again. Zombie Sims do not have any features different from normal Sims other than a green color.

EASY WAY TO GET LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY:
To get lots of money type FREEALL in the cheat box by pressing L1-L2-R1-R2 to make the cheat box appear at the main menu, select play the sims mode then enter your house and buy as much stuff that cost the most and REMEMBER ALWAYS HAVE A BURGLAR ALARM and at night time when everyone is sleeping A BURGLAR WILL COME \"OH KNOW WHAT WILL I DO?\" WELL YOU WONT DO ANYTHING SIMPLY THE ALARM WILL GO OFF AND THE BURGLAR WILL BE caught by the police and she will award you with $1000 for catching the burglar and if they take something (even a cactus) the police officer will award you with $10,000!!!
