If you want to have a better offense or a defense the go to practice mode. Then do normal or all offense. do up to 20 plays. After you do this your offense or defense will do a lot better.

If you want to stop the option push circle before you start the game and chose 4-3 for the defense playbook. Then you choose the 5-2 playbook and go down two times and push X. Push L1 and then down on the directional buttons (to the far left on the controller). Switch to the left end or line backer. If you are at your home stadium then push L2 fast before he hikes the ball. Then push X to blow up the blocker and stop the option (if you are fast enough). If you are the line backer then follow the QB, but start to move in. If this works perfectly then the option will be stopped or they will fumble the ball and move back.
