GRAN TURISMO 3: A-SPEC TIPS & TRICKS
Hint for passing licensing tests
The First couple of licenses can be won in automatic (following the lines), but the rest (Professional and Super) need to be completed in Manual making good use of shifting mechanisms)
Tight Turns
When driving in auto transmission, hold L2 when the car is about to shift. This makes the car go faster in each gear but the top speed is still the same. May be useful in tight turns.
More Horsepower Fast
As soon as you buy a car go and change the oil. It will add at least 130 extra horsepower to your car.

you should get about 200,000 credits, and buy a bettle for 70,000 credits,go to the tune shop put it in turbo stage 3,and go buy rally tires,thengo race in rally events,later if you win correctly you could get over 1,000,000 credits(if you sell your rally cars you can get even more$$$$$!!!!!!)
Oil Change
Always change your oil as often as possible, otherwise your car HP would go down to 0. When you see a red oil light, quit your race and get your oil changed right away.
A Little Trick
WARNING!: You need 2 memory cards for this to work. Save both games on memory card 1 and memory card 2 but make sure you dont have the PT cruiser. Make sure you have the prize car from sunday cup. It is made from Toyota and you can buy it at the start (the 2nd one). Upgrade it with all flywheels and the driveshaft carbon. Then,save only on memory card 2. Restart the PS2. While it is restarting, press the eject button. Go to your browser, load memory card 1 and delete that game. Then, press the eject button and the game will go back in. When the disc appears in the main menu browser, highlight it and press X. When the game is to the main menu, go to Simluation Mode, go to the garage and Trade. Load your save from memory card 2 when at Trade. When loaded, buy the car and get in the car. Then go to the tune shop and buy what you want. You can do this anytime.
Easy Money
Go to the Beginner League and race in NA to get 5,000 credits.
If you have a very good car, go to the Amateur League and race in GT All-Stars in the test course to get 25,000 credits. REMEMBER: Buy t
