Dynasty Warriors 2 Cheats
All generals:
At the title screen, push Square, R1,
Square, R2, Square, R2, Square, R1.
You will hear a sound if you have entered the code correctly. REMEMBER: At the
title screen, push Square, Square, L1, L2, R1, R2,
Square, Square in the Japanese version of the game.
Every Shu general:
At the title screen, push Square,
Square, R1, R1, Square, Square, R2, R2 to unlock Ma Chao,
Jiang Wei, Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, and Huang Zhong. You will hear a sound if you
have entered the code correctly. You can also finish Musou mode with any
member of the Shu Kingdom. REMEMBER: At the title screen, push Square, R1(5),
R2, R2 in the Japanese version of the game.

Opening Edit option:

code correctly. An "Opening Edit" selection will be unlocked on the
options menu. You can also finish Musou mode with all generals with the
exception of Dong Zhuo, Diao Chan, Lu Bu, Yuan Shao, and Zhang Jiao. REMEMBER: At
the title screen, push L1, L2, R2, R1, L1, L2,
R2, R1 at the options screen in the Japanese version of the
game.
Free mode side selection:
Hold Triangle and At the title screen,
push R1, L1, L2, R2, R1, L1, L2,
R2. You will hear a sound if you have entered the code correctly.
Free mode level selection:
Hold Square and At the title screen,
push L1, R1, R2, L2, L1, R1, R2,
L2. You will hear a sound if you have entered the code correctly.
Alternately, At the title screen, push L2, L1, R1, R2,
L2, L1, R1, R2, L2.
BGM Test option:
At the title screen, push L1, L1, L1, R1,
R1, R1, L2, R2. You will hear a sound if you have entered the
code correctly. Choose the "Sound" selection at the options menu,
then choose "BGM Test" to hear all the background music from the
game. REMEMBER: At the title screen, push R1, R1, R2, R2, L1,
L1, L2, L2 at the options screen in the Japanese version of the game.
In-game reset:
At the title screen, push Start + Select
while playing the game to return to the main menu.
Unlock Diao Chan, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Chao, and Zhang
Jiao in free mode:
Finish Musou mode with at least one member of
each kingdom. REMEMBER: This also unlocks Side Selection in free mode.
Unlock Sun Quan:
Finish Musou mode with all Wu Kingdom members
(Zhou Yu, Lu Xun, Sun Shang Xiang, Taishi Ci, Gan Ning, Lu Meng).
Unlock Sima Yi:
Finish Musou mode as Xiahou Dun, Xiahou Yuan,
Dian Wei, Xu Chu, and Zhang Liao.
Unlock Cao Cao:
Finish Musou mode with all Wei Kingdom
members including Sima Yi.
Unlock Zhuge Liang:
Finish Musou mode as Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao
Yun, Ma Chao, Huang Zhong, and Jiang Wei.
Zhuge Liang can be unlocked by finishing the game
with (in order): Guan Yu, Zhao Yun, and Huang Zhong. There may be other
combinations, but this one is faster than having to use all six of the Shu
generals.
Unlock Liu Bei:
Finish Musou mode with all Shu Kingdom
members including Zhuge Liang.
Unlock Lu Bu (Free mode only):
Win Stage 2 (Hulao Gate) in Musou mode with
at least 1000 KOs.
Alternate introduction sequence:
Finish Musou mode as any general.
Restore health:
Pause your game, choose the save option, then
resume game play without saving.
Female character's unlimited combo:
Attack (only one hit), move forward, attack
(only one hit), move forward, attack (only one hit), move forward, and repeat.
This must be done quickly in order to continue the combo.

How to beat Lu Bu:
Hit him once and then jump away. Then hit him
again and repeat. When he blocks the hit, jump away as fast as possible.
Large chain attack:
Attack someone three times (they must die on
one of these hits for this to work), stop, then as they are falling down,
attack three times again.
Easy Damage:
If you are up against a strong general who keeps
blocking all your moves, a really good tip is to strike normally three times
and then press triangle. This will nearly always make him lose grip and you
must follow it up with more hits to do some damage

Highest Possible Combo:
To get the highest possible combo (99 hits) mount a
horse and go somewhere where there is a wall ( a gate is preferable) when an
enemy soldier is next to the wall charge at him and strike with your sword.
keep running continuously even though the wall is right infront of you
and the enemy guard should be between your horse and the wall. As your
horse keeps running he will keep flicking him up against the wall and this way
you can reach a 99 hit combo!
