Begin your new city and submit the code to issue a bond at 25% interest. Pick YES. Do the same thing to get another bond. Then go to the budget window to get a real bond. Pick YES. Your city should now receive approximately $1 million per a year.

View tile coordinate
INSTRUCTIONS
Press and hold the keys and click on a tile in your city. The x, y coordinates will be displayed in a dialog box. The coordinates are based on the tile grid, ranging from the numbers 0 to 127. This trick is useful when symmetrical cities.

Erase objects
INSTRUCTIONS
Select TREES/WATER and pick TREES. Click to make the trees go on the city. Push the key while clicking to erase things from your city. The population will remain and you can add more objects over the erased buildings.

SIMCITY 2000 TIPS & TRICKS
Alter current game graphics
Remember to create a backup copy of a file before beginning to edit/alter that particular file.. Go to the SimCity 2000 directory and the bitmaps sub-directory. Take off the read only attributes of the files to edit them as desired, but do not change the filenames.
Get a baseless military
Use the GET A MILITARY BASE code, then zone over it. You now have a military for disasters, but no missile silos.
