Utilizing cheat mode:)
Press and hold SHIFT while beginning your game. Pick the DEVELOPEER tab and check DEVELOPER MODE to continue loading the game. To begin your game, press and hold CTRL and click on NEW GAME to set a difficulty and location. Then, push \ to talk while playing the game, submit one of the codes below, and push ENTER to enable that particular cheat code. You will see the words GOD FAVORS YOU if you have entered the code correctly.

Unlocking blood mode:
Remember to create a backup copy of a file before beginning to edit that particular file with your text editor. Remember some versions of the game have blood disabled.  Using your text editor alter the "drakan.cfg" file in the game directory. Look for the "set violence" line under the "//Settings" heading. Submit the number 1, 2, or 3 after the SET VIOLENCE command to unlock one of the following violence settings:

1: No blood and no GIBS
2: Blood and GIBS enabled.
3. Blood enabled and GIBS disabled
