A good rare crown/armor/weapon is often more worth then the a unique crown/armor/weapon!
Playing in Battle-Net
In closed BattleNet the char is saved on one of Blizzards (free, but slow) servers and until now cheating is impossible. Let's hope it stays this way because creating a good char here and finding / trading good items takes quite some effort.
Traps
You will be warned that a trap is activated when you hear this creaking noise. Run fast then!
Surviving
Rejuvenation-Potions ("life+magic"-potions) help in difficult fights / duels because they instantly regenerate life + mana points (normal potions let you regenerate slowly).
if you die, this may help...
If you feel like you are getting in a sticky situation that you might die from, just cast a town portal somewhere nearby before it gets too bad. If you die your town portal will still show up in town, so you can go back to where your body is without having to walk all the way back to it. Or, if you die and didn't cast a town portal, just click on save and exit, then re-enter the game. You'll start off back in town but your body will be waiting right next to you..gear and all.
Super Rejuvination Potion Creation
Place three rejuvination potions into the Horadric cube and transform them into a super rejuvenation potion.
Recover Items After Death
If you die just when you get to the town, save and exit game. Log back in and your corpse will be next to you.
Upgrading Gems
To upgrade gems: simply gather three similar gems (three chipped rubies for example) and place them in the cube. Hit the transmute button and bingo! You have one flawed ruby.
Beating Hell Mode
In Hell Mode, monsters are invulnerable to different elemental damage and sometimes even physical damage. The only realy way to beat this is to create a character that can deal multiple types of damage. For example, create a sorceress that specializes in physical and fire attacks via enchant, warmth, and fire mastery. Then add a cold specialty of only frozen orb or blizzard (with appropriate upgrading skills). This is a great way to avoid being trapped in certain areas by immunities.
scorcoresses ice armors
each of the three different ice armors (chilling, shiver, ect.) will not stack. No extra bonuses will be given if you use an ice armor then use another. the higher ones bonuses will be used instead. so if you use the first ice armor then use the shiver armor, the shiver armor's defence and cold damage will be done, the first and second will not combine. same goes for any other combonation
