Pokemon Pearl Tips & Tricks

The starters are Naetle, Hikozaru, and Pochama. Naetle is Grass tpe with the ability Overgrow. Hikozaru is a fire chimp with Blaze. Pochama resembles a penguin with Torrent, just like the Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald starters.

You cannot catch all Pokemon in this game. You must trade them from your Game Boy Advance Pokemon games. In this game, you can get all the fourth generation Pokemon, but only about fifty original Hoenn/Kanto/Johto Pokemon.

To get the three starter Pokémon masks, first talk to the old lady on the first floor of the Veilstone Department Store. She will give you the Turtwig Mask. Then go to Pastoria City. Talk to a girl with blond hair. She will give you the Piplup mask. Finally go to Jubilife City. Go to the Jubilife TV building. Then go to the second floor. Talk to a man with sunglasses. He will give you the Chimchar mask.

To do this, you must have Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. First, you must go to the Global Trade Statiion (GTS). Once there, talk to the lady at the counter and log into Wi-Fi Connection. After you can finish logging in, it should show Deposit Pokemon as the top one and two other choices. Choose Deposit Pokemon. Pick the Pokemon you want to clone. When asking for the pokemon you want for the selcted pokemon, choose Palkia Lv. 9 and under. It hasn't been recorded that you can actually get this pokemon. After you finish choosing, the game will take you to a screen that is black and says Checking GTS Status. On the bottom right of the screen, there should be a little clock that has a hand spinning. This is the tricky part, you have to count about 12 seconds and then shut the DS off. If you did this right, when you start up again, the screen should be blue and say "Your save file was corrupted. Previous file will be loaded." Don't worry your game isn't messed up. Start the game you should either be walking out of the door behind the counter where the lady is standing, or you should be standing in front of the counter. Log into Wi-Fi Connection again. Check if the first box says something like Withdraw Pokemon. If it does, it definitely worked. Now withdraw the pokemon and now you have a clone. If it does not say withdraw pokemon and says Deposit Pokemon, then click it. When it goes to the part where it asks you what pokemon you want to deposit, it should show the pokemon in your party and you can switch between the pokemon in your pc. If the pokemon you wanted to clone was in your party when you originally deposited it, then it might be in the next open spot in one of the boxes in your pc. If the pokemon was originally in your pc it still might be in the next open spot in your pc. This includes there being a space open in your party. An easy way to get your pokemon to level 100 is to keep fighting with the elite 4 at least 15 times.

You can get any pokemon you want by going to your Pokedex and selecting the Pokemon you want. Then click select and exit out and walk for a bit, then he/she will pop up and you can catch it.

At the daycare center, first put a Raichu Lv.20-28 boy in and then walk out. Then walk back in and put a girl Wooper/Marill Lv.20-26 in. Go outside, have a walk around, tap the touch screen and you should see an egg on the touch screen (you must be on the daycare-center poketch app.). Go to the daycare man and get the egg. Now, have another walk around and tap the touch screen, now get the egg. Do the same thing again and you'll have three eggs. They'll all hatch into a Bunnary Lv.1 with "thunder wave", a grass move another electric move and a normal move!

To catch Pochama (or Piplup of course) fly to Sandgem Town or Pastoria City (either of them work). Hold Select then go north after north, east there's the walk through the grass. Pochama will appear.

1. Always get pokemon based on their stats, not their looks.

2. To see if a pokemon will be good, always check their stats. Here's a way to see if its going to be good. If it's level 50-54 and if its attack is at 150 or more, put it on your team. Chances are that its attacks will go over 210. Even if its sp. attack sucks, keep it either way and just teach it physical attacks.

3. If you have a pokemon with a strong sp. attack stat, teach it special attacks only.

4. Give pokemon good items based on their stats. If your pokemon has a strong attack stat, give it a muscle band. If your pokemon has wonderguard, give it a focus band. If your pokemon has low HP, give it leftovers.

5. Always check your pokemon's speed, HP and attack when you catch a new one. Make sure its attack is strong, its stanima is good, and predict its speed. There is no room for the slow and weak.

6. Look at a pokemon's attack summary. Accuracy is very important, so look at it before you teach it a new move. Also, if you are going to put strong 120 or 150 powered attacks, look at the after effects. Don't put too much 5PP attacks, and dont add too many attacks that lower your stats. Also, don't put attacks that hurt you also or leave you recharging. During battle, you cant let your opponent land one hit without you hitting back.

7. Adamant natured pokemon have higher stats than the other natured pokemon. Keep that in mind.

8. Always balance out your team, and train them at the same pace. For example, level up one pokemon two levels, level all of them two levels. All of them should level up on the same pace and keep all of them at the same level. Leave no one behind. You will be thankful after all your pokemon become level 100, and your friend's pokemon might be all whacked out: one at level 39, one at level 60, one at level 14, etc.

9. In double battles, always think of multitype combinations: fire and water, rock and fighting, etc.

10. Always have different types of pokemon. Never get a full water or a full whatever team, it'll just make you weak.

First go to your DS options and change the day to friday, then click on the go-to pokemon screen. Click on the continue screen then go to Floaroma town, then go to the right and you will see valley windworks. You will see a pokemon right in front of the sign. Click on the pokemon and he will battle you. To catch him the easy way just throw an ultra ball at him or a quick ball and when you catch him then just train him and then he will evolve into drifblim.

When you battle the Elite 4, get to the second member. Battle until she sends out her Golem. Use Grass Knot on it. When the little circles appear, Golem will turn cross-eyed and remain that way the rest of the battle.

To perform this trick you must have a Pokemon that knows Thief, and a Ditto. Enter a double battle with a Ditto without an item and a Pokemon holding the item you want to duplicate. Make Ditto transform into the Pokemon holding the item. . Switch the Pokemon holding the item with the Pokemon that knows Thief. Use Thief on Ditto. Win the Pokemon battle. The Thief Pokemon now has a duplicate of the item.

While moving pokemon in the box push "Y" to change the color of the hand from yellow to white.

Fly to solaceon then save. Enter the house near the pokemon center then talk to the guy sitting there near the book. He will be asking for a random pokemon. Bring him the pokemon at once. Once you have the pokemon in the party, do not enter the house yet. Save it first then talk to the guy who is asking for the pokemon. He will give you any free pokeball. If not a masterball, turn off the ds and try again.

Go into the freaky house in the woods and up the stairs. When you go into the door on the 2nd floor turn right and find the room with a painting on the wall. Walk right in front of it. The eyes of the painting dissapear. Run backwards & forwards in front of it and eventually you'll meet the extremely rare GENGAR!

To get Shiny pokemon, capture 2 Dittos. Put them in the Daycare in Solaceon Town. The chance of the Shinys may arrive. Or, simply walk in to the grass, use your Poke-Radar. If there is a Shiny Patch, walk in to it. There may be a Shiny. But it is Incredibly rare. I never found a Shiny.

Use your Vs. Seeker or walk in front of a person. When the Trainer sends out his pokemon,Its your choice, use a Master Ball or a Cherish Ball.
