Win Battle 2 in Chapter 3. Then, keep pressing A around the brown mountains that appear from the gray mountains in the northeast corner of the map to find Anri's alternate costume.

Win Battle 1 in Chapter 3. Then, keep pressing A on the wall where the Dark Elves were located to find Khris' alternate costume.

Finish the game after all the cards have been collected. Start a New Game+ and speak to the woman in the hut near where Gong is obtained to get Tao's and Narsha's alternate costume.

Musashi: Talk to Kane in Prompt, then search the large building with two doors and look on the wall between the doors.

Pegasus Knight: Have Zylo execute the killing hit to the last Pegasus Knight in Battle 2 in Chapter 3.

Ramladu: Have Narsha kill Ramladu.

Rune Knight: Have Max kill Rune Knight.

Silver Knight: Have Tao or Anri execute the final hit in Battle 3 in Chapter 3.

Skeleton: Have Anri kill Skeleton.

Soul Eater: Have Zuika kill Soul Eater.

Tao: Talk to Anri in Manarina and get turned into a chicken by the mad scientist. The wizard who changes you back has the card.

Torasu: Search the bookshelf near the left elder in Prompt castle.

Yogurt: Search the control panel of the front carriage in the Pao caravan in both settlements.

Zylo: Search the church sign in Bustoke.

Narsha, Zukia, Mawlock:
These are the new three characters you can get in the revised verison of the game, You start with playing with Narsha in Epilogue 1, and you get Zukia during the fight as well. Mawlock appears after Epilogue 3. They join the Shining Force during Chapter 4 after the fight against General Elliot. Narsha can only equip club weapons. Zukia can rise to the rank of Terminator. Mawlock uses the cards that you collect through out the game.

Arthur:
Talk to Arthur before you leave Rindo in Chapter 2.

Domingo:
Take your egg to the Egg Warmer in Chapter 4.

Gong:
Leave the first battle by casting Egress. Go to the shack to the east of the Gate and you will find the monk, Gong. Speak to him and he will join you.

Gort:
In Chapter 1, listen to Gort's stories before the first battle. Talk to Gort again after the battle.

Guntz:
Watch Guntz test the steam suit in Chapter 4. He will joins your party later, at the Paopig pen.

Kokichi:
Watch Kokichi test his flying machine Chapter 4 after he is freed. He will join when Pao leaves.

Mawlock:
After finishing the game you will restart with whatever cards you ended up in the previous quest with the addition of the Max (hero) card. Also when you restart the game on the way to the first battle when you meet with Mawlock, he joins the Shining Force early.

After you have completed the game for the first time and start a new game under the same name, Mawlock will be a selectable character from the very beginning instead of later in the game. You also will have all the cards that you collected from the prior game at the start of the new game.

Musashi:
First, win the battle with Kane. Then, return to Rudo. On the right corner of the building with the hanging shirts should be a parchment which reads "Fluttering". Enter the building where you previously woke up. On the opposite wall are five white parchments. Read the fourth one from the left. It says "White". While going out of the city, stick to the left wall and try not enter battle. Keep going left, and when you can go no more in that direction, go down. There will be a board which reads "The boy...". Return to the city without entering a battle. Go to the building with the shirts. There will be three lines of shirts. Look for the line with only one shirt and search it. It will say "Search the statue". Search the statue of the dragon god. Musashi will join you after a short talk.

Yogurt:
After seeing Yogurt in every chapter before Chapter 4, search around the church in Pao.

Teeny Bikini:
There is an outfit named "Teeny Bikini" which can be obtained in Chapter 5, Dragonia, at the battle with Kane. If you defeat him well below twelve turns, you will receive the "Teeny Bikini", along with the designated reward. It can be equipped to Tao or Narsha. The out of battle sprite as well as the in battle sprite will change.
