Bonus characters:
Before inserting your coin(s), press the Trigger nine or eleven times then hold the Trigger one more time. Insert your coin(s) while the trigger is held to unlock two new characters. A new set of characters will be available for each of the two different number of Trigger presses.

Real course:
Hold Start and press the Trigger fifteen times while aiming off screen at the course selection screen. Release Start, then select a course.
