Every character:
Hold C + D and press B, Left, B, Right, B. In the foreign versions, either hold B + C and press Left, D, Right, D, Left or hold C + D and press Right, B, B, B, Left.

How to fight as Elephant:
Highlight Rebellious Guan Yu at the character selection screen then repeatedly press C, D, C, D, C, D. The selection timer will return to "9" if you have entered the code correctly.

How to fight as Fire Halberd:
Highlight Sun Quan at the character selection screen then press B, D, B, D, B, D. The selection timer will return to "9" if you have entered the code correctly.

How to fight as Wooden Man:
Highlight Rebellious Huang Zhong at the character selection screen then press B, C, B, C, B, C. The selection timer will return to "9" if you have entered the code correctly.

18 Bosses mode:
Highlight a character at the selection screen. Then, hold C + D and press A.

Character select:
To fight as one of the characters below, hold Start at the selection screen then enter the corresponding code.

Internet ranking mode:
Have player one hold Left + A+ B and player two hold Right + B + C and press Start at the starting screen. The character selection screen should now appear.

Duplicate items:
Drop all items except for the one to be duplicated (item 1) and one throwable item (item 2). Throw item 2, throw item 1, pick up item 2, pick up item 1, use item 2, then press Start followed by Forward + B and throw.
