Alternate enemy destructible bullets:
Hold Start and press Down to cycle through different colors for enemy destructible bullets.

Alternate enemy normal bullets:
Hold Start and press Right to cycle through different colors for enemy normal bullets.

Alternate enemy special bullets:
Hold Start and press Left to cycle through different colors for enemy special bullets.

Special course:
Insert your coin(s), then press Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B while the timer is counting down at the title screen.

Hidden characters:
Insert your coin(s), then press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B while the timer is counting down at the title screen.

Hidden Garegga formations:
When using the bonus Garegga ships, get at least one satellite then pass by five of one of the following power-up types before collecting an option power-up. The ships will change to a new formation, depending on the type of power-up you passed by.

Bomber items: Homing formation
Big main shot: Rolling formation
Option items: Search formation
Score medal items: Shadow formation
Small main-shot items: Wide formation
